About
After working in the legal profession as an Attorney's Investigator for over twenty years, Tim has come back home to his first love, writing. Prior to his legal career, he was the Managing Editor at a small newspaper near Pinehurst, North Carolina. He has worked for USA Today, the Greensboro News and Record, Tarheel Magazine and is currently a contributing writer for O. Henry Magazine. Tim was voted “Best Local Author“ in the Greensboro News and Record’s 2014 Reader’s Choice Award, runner-up in 2015, and “Best Local Author“ again, in 2016.
Tim is the grandson of a North Carolina tobacco farmer and has peeled the caked tobacco juice from his hands as well. He has seen hard times and good harvests, and known men whose lives have gone out of control. Thus, he brings a lifetime of experience to his novel, Curing Time.
MADD INLET is Tim Swink’s book published in 2022. It is a great 'Summer Read'. MADD INLET takes place at Sunset Beach, North Carolina, in 1968-1969, during the turbulent crux of the Vietnam war. Tim Swink has an emotional long-term connection with Sunset Beach and with Bird Island, and this is the novel he was destined to write.
WHERE THE FLOWERS BLOOMED is Tim Swink’s new book that will be released on 2/13/2024. It is the page-turning sequel to CURING TIME. It picks up the story of Hume Rankin and his family in North Carolina, particularly the idealistic Thomas, in a titillating tale of southern mystery, murder, and manners, proving there is always a cost to going home ... and where nothing is simple.
Tim Swink and his wife, Renee, reside in Greensboro, North Carolina.
